KB Access is a medical clinic that offers primary care, as needed & by appointment, to patients in the Kootenay Boundary region who don’t have a family doctor or nurse practitioner.
📌 Important KB Access Update
KB Access phone lines will be closed August 31 to September 13 while we change to a new software system. Phone lines will reopen September 14.
Already have an appointment or are waiting for test results? Our team will continue this work and will contact you as needed.
Need care while our phones are closed? Contact the Castlegar UPCC at 250-304-1289, open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., or visit KBHCR.ca for local health care resources.
For emergencies, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
About KB Access
We offer virtual care across Kootenay Boundary & in-person care in Nelson & Castlegar.
Your appointment will be with the family practitioner on shift that day & we’ll focus on your top health concern.
Please note that we’re not a walk-in clinic.
Eligibility Checklist
Before bookling please make sure you meet our clinic’s eligibilty criteria:
✅ You do NOT have a family doctor or nurse practitioner.
✅ You have a valid BC Personal Health Number
✅ You live in the Kootenay Boundary region of BC
(includes the West Kootenay & Boundary communities of Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, Grand Forks, Rossland, Salmo, Slocan, Nakusp, New Denver, Christina Lake, East Shore, Fruitvale, Greenwood, Kaslo, Midway, Rock Creek & all rural areas).
